This document includes three geometric constructions that explore the concept of fraction:

  • A fraction as part of the unit;
  • Fraction simplification (animated);
  • Comparison of fractions (with the possibility of displaying or hiding the solution).
  • This activity was thought to be used by the teacher in the classroom using a TI-View Screen overhead display. As the animations are ran or other fractions chosen, the teacher should promote discussion amongst the class about the results they expect to see.
